Join our US/Canada team to help us define and expand our Solis branded solutions for residential, commercial, and utility-scale inverters.
The ‘Director of US Product Management and Services in North America’ position is a senior member position to lead the US/Canada Product Management and Services team. The position offers the ability to work on total solutions with Solis customers in the US/Canada market. The duties of this position include the following.
This Senior Management position will be responsible for developing residential, commercial, and utility scale strategies for the North American market. This person is the direct interface with Ginlong’s development engineering team globally. Responsibilities include providing insight on the needs required to gain approval of string inverters by utilities and other governing bodies in the industry. Managing strategic technical relationships with OEM partners and strategic accounts. Negotiating and administering critical supply agreements in support of third-party testing labs.
● Lead residential and commercial product development for North America of string inverter equipment. Ensure that the China-based product teams are in line with market expectations and align with all applicable agencies of compliance, safety, and regulatory needs.
● Interface with such agencies to ensure Ginlong is listed on all such approvals by such agencies.
● Manage the North American team of product managers and application engineers to ensure they meet the requirements for their specific markets.
● Maintain existing and future technical product and applications documents which will be used to secure customer acceptance of said products.
● Support the sales teams with proper technical presentations and application notes on the products offered in the North American markets. Assist in making those presentations to potential clients.
● Collaborate with the technical, engineering, construction, and operations teams to analyze procurement options and to assist in making equipment supply recommendations that best position Ginlong’s products for approval.
● Assist in the preparation and management of Request for Proposal packages as well as evaluation of all equipment supply bids.
● Analyze market trends and government/regulatory conditions and assess their impact on future activities to provide strategy recommendations on product requirements.
● Obtained a degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or relevant experience
● Four or more years of experience in product management and related field.
● Proven and influential verbal and written communication skills
● Strong commercial technical skills, with an understanding of string inverters.
● Excellent organizational, interpersonal, leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills
● Experience in renewable energy and a technical understanding of solar PV modules, solar inverters, trackers, and battery storage equipment preferred
● Four or more years of experience in the renewable Inverter energy industry is preferred
● Demonstrated leadership experience preferred
