Ginlong Releases UL-listed Solis Rapid Shutdown Device for North America Residential PV Applications

DUBLIN, Ohio, May 1st, 2016, Ginlong Technologies (Solis), one of the oldest and largest string inverter manufacturers in the world, releases its popular Rapid Shutdown Device available to homeowners across the North America. The breakthrough Low Profile Ginlong Solis Rapid Shutdown Device (Solis-RSD-1G) will make it possible for PV system designers to easily add UL 1741 certified and NEC 690.12 compliant rapid shutdown to any string inverter PV systems. The Solis-RSD-1G can be installed in less than a few minutes and is mounted underneath the PV modules so that any PV array retains a clean and professional appearance. Ginlong Solis USA has begun taking orders from US customers and it is expected that grid-tie PV system installers will be adding this convenient, reliable and cost effective device to all their PV systems installed in NEC 2014 and 2017 territories.

The Solis-RSD-1G is rated for ambient temperatures ranging from -25 to +70 degree C and is protected from the environment by a low-profile NEMA 4X enclosure. The light weight device is conveniently mounted to the PV module racking system using two fasteners and a mounting plate that can accept grounding washers. PV source circuit wires are connected to the Solis-RSD-1G with locking MC connectors and the product comes with a watertight 2-wire bulkhead connector for the AC source.
