Solis reinforces strategic alliances in Colombia and presents new equipment at ExpoSolar Colombia from September 22nd to 24th in Medellín

Solar Distributed Generation grows on an average of 30% annually in Latin America: Solis

MEDELLIN, COLOMBIA, SEPTEMBER 9th, 2022.- SOLIS, a leading global company in solar inverters, reaffirms its commitment to the expansion of solar energy in Latin America, where it formed strategic alliances in favor of the adoption of photovoltaic systems.

Within the framework of its participation in ExpoSolar Colombia, which will take place from September 22nd to 24th in Medellín, it will formalize its alliance with SOLAIRE ENERGIA RENEWABLE, a company committed to protecting the environment through the promotion of technological innovations for the development of solar projects, among others.

Sergio Rodriguez, Service Manager for LATAM at Solis, highlighted that solar Distributed Generation grows on average 30% per year in Latin America and Colombia has carried out important regulatory changes for this expansion.

In the country since 2014, the year in which the integration of non-conventional renewable energies into the National Energy System was regulated, went from less than 50 megawatts to more than 2,200 megawatts of installed capacity by the year 2022, according to the Ministry of Mines and Energy from this country.

The growing interest in reducing the use of carbon to generate electricity is also being favored by the increase that has been registered in the last two years in the international prices of conventional energies.

In the current year 2022, there is an upward trend in the demand for distributed generation systems with an estimated growth of approximately 30% in the region.

Solis will bring its sixth generation inverters to ExpoSolar Colombia, among which is the S6-EH1P(3.8-11.4)K-H-US, manufactured especially for Latin America and the new hybrid that will revolutionize the market.

In addition, at the Solis booth, number 6, will be on display the Solis 255 kW inverter designed for Utility Scale projects which are being developed in the region now more than ever.

ExpoSolar has around 24,500 visitors in its three days of exhibition where 180 Exhibiting Companies participate and more than 3,500 entrepreneurs doing business.
