Medellin, Colombia March 8th, 2022. - The multinational Ginlong Solis plans to double its sales of solar inverters in Colombia, a country that is at the forefront of solar energy and with greater adoption of photovoltaic systems in South America.

Solis conducted a technical training roadshow with Solaire Energia Renovable in Colombia, where they visited the cities of Barranquilla, Medellín; Cali, Bucaramanga and Bogotá, during the month of February.

The training focused on the new range of Solis S6 Inverters - Residential, C&I and Hybrid.

More than 250 people attended the tour in the five cities, with the aim of strengthening presence in Colombia by the hand of Solaire Renewable Energy, one of the largest distributors in Colombia and Central America.

In 2023, their shares are intended to double sales in this country where sixth generation investors are introduced for both large projects, as well as the first hybrid inverters that offers up to 100% autonomy to the residential sector.

This last equipment contains energy storage that can obtain up to 100% self-sufficiency by having several powers from 3.8kW to 11.4kW. Such equipment can be coupled to lithium batteries up to 15kW, capacity enough to satisfy normal charges at residential level for an entire night, such as: lights, TV, refrigerator and ACs.

The new inverter Solis Hybrid S6-EH1P(3.8-11.4)K-H-US has been certified according to international standards complying with all regulations required by the Colombian market.

This inverter is the option for storage solutions so the equipment can operate with or without the interconnection network.

This innovation allows:

• Higher revenue with real-time electricity consumption mode according to market price.

• High independence that allows the inverter to operate outside the power grid.

In 2022 alone, the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Colombia made progress in the implementation of 32 more projects for the installation of solar panels in 19,000 Colombian households in the departments of Bolívar, Caquetá, Casanare and Chocó.

According to the Energy Transition Index developed each year by the World Economic Forum, Colombia ranked 34th, rising nine places between 2019 and 2020 out of 115 countries. Uruguay ranked 11th in the ranking, is the first in Latin America and Colombia follows closely, surpassing countries such as Chile and Costa Rica.
