Roof top leasing, a new solution for land occupation of distributed PV project

Modern society consume a lot of energy for supporting industry, commercial and people’s livelihood, and with the promotion of government’s policy, China has see a booming in distributed PV projects. Statistic shows that in 2014 alone the newly PV installation application surpass 8GW. However many obstacles also impeding the heat of PV installation scarce of land is among one of them. In the pass year, people found out a new way to solve this problem, more and more projects are prone to utilize the roof top of difference factories.

One sample project of Ginlong/Solis set a good example of such model, Changhe Industy Park located in the Binhai Industry Zone of Zhejiang province, some 20 difference factories with huge electricity consumption, spotted in large number of buildings and cover over 30,000sqm of blank roof top. Because of property reason, how the roof top are no so easily disposable for distributed PV project. Under the help of profession EPC engineering, The EPC company and roof top owners reached an agreement. This 2.075MW projects adopted GCI-15K high efficiency string grid tie inverter of Ginlong/Sois and 250W module of QXPV, inject to the grid with 10kV method and installed with Ginlong/Solis WEB monitoring system, becomes the first commissioning project to enjoy the full fit in tariff rate, since the government release its new policy on distributed PV.  

The Changhe Project provide a win win solution for both investor and property owner, it make no materialize effect for the property owner whether the project was installed or not, but it can get the extra leasing profit from investor(25 year, over RMB100/year per squre meter), while investor take all the risks and responsible for the design, construction and maintenance, this model solve the problem of scarcity of land, set a good example other roof top projects.
